How I became a housewife

Are you a housewife? Are you planning to be a housewife?

I became a housewife by accident. I used to be an employee in the corporate world. My job demands me to have zero error??? Humans are not robots. How to have zero errors? Even robots will screw up sometimes let alone humans?

人非圣贤孰能无过 (to err is human). (Did I use it correctly??? ٩◔̯◔۶  thinking thinking... )

(Been wanting to write a blog but keep procrastinating. Now that I take a step out of my comfort zone to start writing, suddenly I don't know what to write now... Zzzzzz.... )

When my then 2yo child keep falling sick monthly without fail. And each time is for 1 week having high fever (40degree c). I cannot sleep well as I have to monitor her fever. (Mummies should know ya.... oops... maybe some daddys would know) Waking up in the middle of the night to take temperature, sponging etc etc) This continued for many months. I have to take childcare/annual leaves every month. Your boss will like it?? Every month without fail I need to take a few days. Plus the lack of sleep, you think I can make zero mistakes? 

Every month without fail I will need to report to the children's hospital A&E department late at night. The children's hospital was like my second home then. The last straw came when my kiddo had fits. Prior to the fit, she was sick for a week already having high fever. She took antibiotics and fever medicine, all to no avail. We were so desperate. We went to see the western doctor. The doctor looks young and what he said made me want to slap him upside down. He said using his nonchalant voice and attitude," The temperature readings is just a number. Don't need to worry too much!" 40.3 degree Celsius. You tell me it's just a number!!! 事不关己，高高挂起 !!!

We went to see Chinese sinseh, the sinseh did some gua sha and massage, but it was useless too. We did for a few times. Its not cheap you know.... (╥╯⌒╰╥๑)  We even go to the temple to pray and go look for the Fengshui master to help. We were that desperate.

I finally call it quits when my kid had fits. I was so glad I was right beside her when her fit started. I panicked. As usual we reported to the hospital. But this time round, we didn't get to go home after the seeing the doctor. Kiddo got admitted into the hospital straightaway. (Wa.... I grow so big, apart from going into labour, I have never stayed in a hospital!!! Touch wood...) The very experience nurse start to poke the big needle into kiddo hand vein to get the antibiotics straight into her body. My heart was in pain when I see that she has to go through the pain of being poke by this big needle.... How I wish I could suffer on her behalf!! But that's not the worse....

The worse was that the needle keep shifting. So everytime the nurse has to re poke the needle !!!!! ( ɵ̥̥‸ɵ̥̥)  And then they call those inexperience doctors to come poke her!!! And then if hand cannot poke, the want to poke the veins on the feet beneath the bump at the side (not sure what it is called..) And then they always ask for urine or sh** (pardon my language) after she had cleared her stuff. They even tried to poke her to get urine.... OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!

Words cannot describe how angry I was when they push her into the room, close the door and try to push the tube in while she was crying hysterically. And we were not allowed to go in. But we forcefully went in and tell the medical staffs to stop immediately and we will send the sample to them once have.

The horror doesn't end there! Just when she was recovering, she had a bout of food poisoning. Only our bed... Talk about bad luck!!!

At the end of the stay, they still cannot find the cause of the illness. The blood sample which they have taken seemed to be contaminated. They ask if I did let me kiddo play in soil and mud!!! HEH?????????????

After this episode, I quit my job. Maybe this company fengshui does not suit me or my kiddo.

Takeaway: No takeaway for this episode. Friend commented that I should have some takeaways for readers and to make a point, long story short etc.... But I thought this could be a story reading session. Just like every book, there is a introduction/prelude or something isn't it?
